Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring they receive the correct dosage and instructions for use.
- Patient Counseling: Provide counseling to patients on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence to ensure protected and effective treatment.
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM): Review and manage patients' medication regimens, especially for those with chronic conditions, to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Prescription Verification: Verify and validate prescriptions for accuracy, legality, and suitability, and resolve any discrepancies or interactions with prescribers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of medications, monitor stock levels, and ensure medications are stored appropriately to comply with safety regulations.
- Drug Interaction Analysis: Check for potential drug interactions, allergies,



or contraindications and consult with healthcare providers if necessary.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensure all pharmacy practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including keeping accurate records of prescriptions and controlled substances.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on health topics, such as disease prevention, vaccinations, and lifestyle changes to improve health outcomes.
- Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to maintain high standards in pharmaceutical care and patient safety.
