Department: Merchant Acquisition

Core Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, Card Scheme mandates, and internal bank policies for the Merchant Acquiring and Credit Card businesses.
Track, follow up, and ensure timely closure of open issues arising from CIT, ORM, and PPAC observations before stipulated deadlines.
Review regulatory‑linked processes for the business and conduct compliance testing/checks to validate control effectiveness and adherence.
Conduct RCSA testing for the business unit and ensure timely reporting of operational risk events in line with bank guidelines.

Responsibilities In Detail

Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements, card network rules, industry standards and internal compliance, audit, risk and policy guidelines.
Communicate bank and business policies effectively across the unit to ensure full understanding and implementation.




Disseminate regulatory guidelines received from the Compliance team to all relevant stakeholders within the unit.
Ensure timely and accurate implementation of regulatory requirements across all processes within the unit.
Conduct implementation testing of significant regulatory guidelines in coordination with the Central Compliance team.
Ensure timely submission of information and data requested by the Central Compliance team.
Review regulatory correspondence and ensure accurate and timely submission of responses.
Drive timely closure of pending open issues through follow‑ups and evidence verification.
Verify closure evidence to ensure adequacy and compliance with regulatory and internal expectations.
Ensure timely reporting and booking of operational loss events in accordance with operational risk policies.
Ensure timely reporting of frauds and law enforcement notices in Yes Vigil.
