The Project

The Role

We are creating a single pivotal position in the Owner’s team: the Design Coordinator is the information spine of the project — the person through whom every drawing, revision, query, and decision flows between the UK design practice, the consultant team, and the construction site. This is not an administrative role and it is not a site-supervision role. It is the discipline of design management: keeping the project’s information true, current, and answered, so that what is built is exactly what was drawn.

Responsibilities
- Drawing control.Maintain the master drawing register and revision control; ensure the site builds only from current, approved drawings.
- RFIs and queries.Own the RFI log: raise, track, and chase design queries with the architect and consultants; ensure no question to the design team goes unanswered beyond its deadline.
- Correspondence.Draft, issue,



and file all project correspondence on behalf of the Owner’s office; maintain a complete, retrievable project record.
- Meetings and minutes.Convene and minute design and progress meetings; track every decision and action to closure.
- Shop-drawing review.Review contractor and vendor shop drawings (stonework, joinery, metalwork) against the architect’s details and flag conflicts before fabrication.
- Weekly reporting.Prepare a concise weekly coordination note for the Owner covering drawing status, open queries, and decisions required.

Who We Are Looking For
- B.Arch with roughly 3-6 years’ experience in a serious architectural practice or on the design-management side of a quality building project.
- Genuinely fluent in reading and interrogating architectural drawings — plans, sections, large-scale details, and schedules.
