Procurement and Marketing Manager - Brown Layer Eggs (Jharkhand)

Job Summary:
The Procurement and Marketing Manager will be responsible for sourcing brown layer eggs from farms and managing their marketing and sales across Jharkhand. The role involves building strong supplier networks, ensuring consistent quality and supply, and developing effective market linkages to maximize sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
Identify and develop a network of poultry farms producing brown layer eggs
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with farmers and suppliers
Ensure consistent procurement volumes as per demand forecasts
Monitor egg quality, grading, and handling standards
Coordinate logistics for timely collection and transportation

Marketing & Sales:
Develop and implement marketing strategies for brown eggs in local and regional markets
Identify new buyers such as wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, and institutional clients
Build and maintain relationships with distributors and key customers
Monitor market trends, pricing,



and competitor activity
Achieve sales targets and expand market reach

Operations Coordination:
Work closely with logistics and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery
Maintain inventory and demand-supply balance
Ensure proper packaging, branding, and labeling

Reporting & Compliance:
Maintain procurement and sales records
Prepare regular reports on volumes, pricing, and performance
Ensure compliance with food safety and local regulations

Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, or related field
3-6 years of experience in poultry, agri-commodities, or FMCG procurement/marketing
Robust negotiation and vendor management skills
Knowledge of egg grading, storage, and supply chain practices
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel extensively within Jharkhand
