1. Equipment Availability & Reliability
- Ensure maximum uptime of production machinery.
- Monitor and improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
- Reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
- Achieve targeted machine availability percentage.

2. Preventive & Predictive
- Maintenance Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, etc.).
- Ensure 100% adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Maintain PM records and history sheets.

3. Breakdown Management
- Attend and resolve breakdowns within defined TAT.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Minimize production loss due to equipment failure.

4. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Control maintenance expenses within approved budget.
- Optimize spare parts inventory and consumption.
- Reduce emergency purchases.
- Improve cost efficiency through repair vs replacement analysis.

Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Maintain critical spares list. Ensure minimum stock level for critical components.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase for timely procurement.
- Avoid stock-outs and overstocking.

6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and SOPs.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Promote protected maintenance practices (LOTO, PPE usage)

7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs and equipment history.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports.
- Analyze downtime trends and present improvement plans.
- Update SOPs and maintenance manuals.

8. Team Coordination & Vendor Management
- Supervise technicians and contractors.
- Train junior staff on troubleshooting and safety.
- Coordinate with production team for maintenance planning.
