We are looking for a highly experienced CNC Programmer with mandatory expertise in both 2D and 3D programming who can independently handle complete machining operations for ~10 CNC machines.

This is a full-ownership role, covering:
Drawing understanding

Process planning

Tooling strategy

CNC programming (2D + 3D)

Shop floor execution

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

✔ Solid hands-on experience in both:
2D Programming (profile, drilling, tapping, pocketing, cycles)

3D Programming (surface machining, complex geometries, contours)

Key Responsibilities

1. Drawing Interpretation & Process Planning

Read and interpret 2D drawings + 3D models

Define full machining strategy:
Operation sequence

Machine selection (VMC / HMC / VTL)

Setup planning

Prepare process sheets with cycle time estimation

2. CNC Programming (Core Responsibility)

Develop programs using:
CAM (Mastercam / NX / SolidCAM / PowerMill)

Manual G-code where required

Execute:
2D operations → contouring, drilling, tapping

3D operations → surface machining, complex profiles





Handle multi-side machining (HMC tombstone setups)

3. Tooling & Strategy

Select tools:
U-drills, inserts, end mills, boring bars, etc.

Define cutting parameters:
Feed, speed, DOC, step-over

Optimize for:
Tool life

Surface finish

Productivity

4. Setup & Prove-Out

Handle first setup independently

Set offsets (G54-G59)

Conduct dry run and prove programs

Troubleshoot:
Chatter

Tool failure

Dimensional errors

5. Shop Floor Ownership

Manage programming and machining for ~10 machines

Coordinate with:
Operators

Supervisor

QC team

Ensure:
Machine utilization

Smooth job flow

Issue resolution

6. Quality & Control

Ensure adherence to:
Drawing tolerances

GD&T;

Support inspection planning

Maintain program and setup documentation

7. Continuous Improvement

Reduce cycle time

Improve tool utilization

Standardize machining practices
