Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Export Compliance:
- Ensure all export activities comply with local and international laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal departments (sales, production, finance) and external parties (customers, freight forwarders).
- Inventory Management:
- Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure product availability for export shipments.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate production schedules to meet export demands.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze and manage costs associated with export logistics, including shipping, duties, and taxes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate contracts with service providers.
- Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve any export-related issues or disputes that arise, including customs holds or delivery delays.
- Develop solutions to streamline export processes and improve efficiency.
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on export activities, including shipment volumes, costs, and compliance issues.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving export operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management) or a related field.
- Minimum of 2/3 years of experience in export coordination or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
