ABOUT THE ROLE

Kloche Cakery is an egg-free patisserie built around craft, precision, and the kind of care that people feel before they can name it. We are looking for a Pastry Chef who takes their work seriously — someone who finds satisfaction in a perfectly executed batch, a clean station, and a finish that holds up under close inspection.

This is a hands-on kitchen role. You will work closely with our core team across daily production, decoration, and dry confections, with room to contribute to recipe development as the role grows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Production

Prepare and execute daily pastry production with strict adherence to recipes, timings, and brand standards. Mise-en-place is your baseline, not your ceiling.

Cake Decoration & Finishing

Execute glazing, decoration, and finishing techniques with precision. Aesthetic consistency matters here as much as flavour — you will be working on products that are looked at closely before they are eaten.

Dry Confections

Manage the full production cycle of cookies and dry confections — baking,



quality checks, and storage — maintaining absolute batch-to-batch consistency.

Kitchen Support

Support across stations during peak production, including technical dough and batter work. Flexibility is not occasional here — it is part of the role.

Hygiene & Sanitation

Uphold rigorous food safety and sanitation standards across your workstation, equipment, and storage. This is non-negotiable.

Recipe Development

Contribute to the testing and refinement of new recipes, particularly for seasonal menus. We develop slowly and carefully — ideas are welcome, but so is patience.

Team Training

Support the onboarding and training of junior team members and interns, ensuring they understand not just the technique but the standard.
