- Job Description
1. Metrology (Fixed CMM & Portable FARO CMM)
- 1.1 Fixed CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
Perform dimensional inspection of components as per drawing, GD&T; requirements, and control plans.
Develop and validate CMM programs for new and existing parts.
Ensure proper alignment, probing strategy, and measurement accuracy.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and layout inspection.
Maintain inspection records and generate reports (PPAP, ISIR, etc.).
Ensure periodic verification and maintenance of CMM machine.
Coordinate with QA/NPD for new product development measurements.
Analyze measurement data and support root cause analysis for dimensional issues.
- 1.2 Portable FARO CMM (Arm / Laser Scanner)
Perform in office inspection for large/critical components where fixed CMM is not feasible.
Conduct reverse engineering and 3D scanning activities.
Support assembly verification, gap & flush measurement.
Validate fixtures, jigs, and tools geometrically.
Generate deviation reports and 3D comparison analysis.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and calibration of FARO equipment.
- 2. Equipment Calibration (Production Equipment)
Prepare and maintain Master Calibration Plan for all production equipment.
Ensure calibration of machines such as torque tools, pressure gauges, temperature controllers, etc.
Monitor calibration status and ensure all equipment is within validity period.
Coordinate with external agencies for third-party calibration when required.
