Job Title: Safety Officer

Job Summary:
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a secure working environment at construction sites by implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The role focuses on preventing accidents, minimizing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety Implementation & Monitoring
- Enforce site safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and staff.
- Monitor daily site activities to identify potential hazards.

2. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local safety laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the site.

3. Risk Assessment
- Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification (HIRA).
- Recommend corrective actions for unsafe conditions.





4. Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and workers.
- Organize toolbox talks and regular safety training sessions.
- Promote awareness of safety practices across all teams.

5. Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.

6. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Conduct mock drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).
- Ensure availability and maintenance of firefighting equipment.

Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Safety Management / Industrial Safety / Engineering.
- Certification in Safety (NEBOSH/IOSH preferred).

Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in construction or real estate projects.
