Job Summary:
The Commi II - Bakery will assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of a wide variety of bakery items. The role includes supporting senior bakers, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring timely and high-quality production of bread, and other baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, cakes, and other baked goods according to standardized recipes.
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients as per recipe requirements.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and pastry chefs in the creation of bakery items.
- Operate kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, proofing chambers) safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that bakery products are fresh, well-presented, and available for customers at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the senior chef.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to maintain quality and freshness.
- Assist in packing and presenting bakery products for display or catering.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Support the kitchen team with other duties as required during peak times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen environment (1-2 years preferred).
- Basic knowledge of bakery products, techniques, and ingredients.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in product quality.
- Team player with positive communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate or diploma in baking or culinary arts is a plus.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
