- Ensure strict adherence to:
- Group-level accounting standards
- Chart of Accounts governance
- Cost centre and MIS philosophy
- Prevent ad-hoc, person-driven accounting practices
- Institutionalise accounting knowledge independent of individuals

2. Company-Level Accounting Blueprints
- Oversee creation and maintenance of Company Accounting Playbooks for all companies
- Ensure each company:
- Follows group principles
- Has clearly documented WIP, revenue, cost, and control rules
- Act as final authority on accounting interpretations

3. Tally Ownership and Discipline
- Establish Tally as the single source of financial truth:
- Enforce:
- Voucher discipline
- Approval workflows
- Period closing controls
- Audit trails
- Restrict misuse of journals and backdated entries
- Ensure clean, auditable books at all times

4. ERP & Automation Strategy
- Define explicit system boundaries:
- What ERP owns
- What Tally owns
- What remains manual




- Lead ERP accounting integration design (not vendor-driven)
- Ensure future ERP implementations align with accounting governance:
- Prevent automation that compromises control or reporting quality

5. MIS, Reporting & Decision Support
- Design and deliver:
- Monthly company-wise MIS
- Project-wise and business-line profitability
- Group-level consolidated views
- Ensure reports are:
- Accurate
- Timely
- Comparable
- Actionable
- Translate accounting data into management insights

6. Intercompany Accounting & Group Control
- Own all intercompany accounting principles and execution
- Ensure:
- Proper pricing and documentation
- Monthly reconciliation
- Settlement discipline
- Prevent intercompany balances from becoming hidden liabilities

7. Audit, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure continuous audit readiness across all entities
- Act as primary interface with:
- Statutory auditors
- Internal auditors
- Tax advisors
- Oversee:
- GST, TDS/T
