Structural Designer - T&D; Civil Structural

Burns & McDonnell’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D;) Global Practice is an industry leader, ranked No. 1 by Engineering News-record magazine. Burns & McDonnell India’s T&D; team is working worldwide on the Substation, Transmission & Pipeline projects.

Job Positions:
Following are some specific duties & responsibilities:
- 2D drafting of foundations and steel, general arrangement drawings using tools like AutoCAD (Microstation will be added advantage) to produce construction deliverables like
- Foundation plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
- Steel plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings
- Location layout and key plan
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Material Take-offs (MTOs)
- Stairs, Ladders and Misc. items (will be added advantage)
- Coordinate with other disciplines and develop a clash-free 3D model/drawing (added advantage).
- Responsible to manage the assigned scope within the agreed schedule, and budget and complying with agreed project quality norms.
- Assist Engineers in preparing,



coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
- A committed team player able to work on their own initiative.
- Effective communication both verbal as well as writing and collaboration with USA Counterpart.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering with min 4 years of experience or ITI with 6 years of experience.
- Experience in industrial/commercial design drafting, development of general arrangement drawings, foundation and steel layouts, Foundation detail drawings, steel connection drawings, and Modeling of steel and foundations.
- Diagrammatic skills, 3D conceptual skills
- Working knowledge of international codes and standards (AISC, ACI, PIP etc.) used in Manufacturing, Industrial, and Commercial projects.
- 2D Tools: AutoCAD-2D, Microstation
- Microsoft Office Tools - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote
