An Accounts Executive in a hotel is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance department to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Accounting Tasks
- Record daily revenue (room sales, F&B;, events, etc.)
- Maintain cash, bank, and journal entries
- Handle accounts payable (vendor payments) and receivable (guest/company dues)
2. Billing & Invoicing
- Generate guest bills and corporate invoices
- Verify billing accuracy (room charges, taxes, services)
- Follow up on outstanding payments
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily revenue reports (Night Audit reports)
- Assist in monthly financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and ledgers
4. Payroll & Expenses
- Assist in salary processing
- Track staff reimbursements and operational expenses
5. Compliance & Audits
- Ensure GST/TDS compliance (India-specific)
- Maintain proper documentation for audits
- Support internal and external audits
6.
Coordination
- Work with front office, housekeeping, and F&B; departments
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles (Tally, ERP systems)
- Familiarity with hotel PMS (Property Management Systems)
- Positive Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Communication and coordination skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Accounting
- 1-3 years of experience (hospitality preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in hotels or resorts
- Knowledge of hospitality accounting systems (like IDS, Opera)
Salary Range (India - approx.)

- Experienced: ₹20,000 - ₹23000 per month
