Medical Officer Job Description

Organization: Child Survival India (CSI)
Location: Malegaon, Washim (Maharashtra)
Experience Required: 2-3 years’
Salary: ₹80,000 p.m.

Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care:
- Ensure the efficient and compassionate delivery of primary care services at the MMU OPD, treating patients with diligence.
- Supervise and guide the daily activities of all MMU staff, including pharmacists, health educators, ANMs, and drivers, ensuring strict adherence to clinical protocols and operational standards.
- Patient Referrals:
- Maintain detailed records of patient referrals, including the reason, address, and emergency details, in both the vehicle logbook and the register.
- Issue explicit and descriptive referral slips for patients requiring higher-level care.
- Community Collaboration:
- Coordinate and cooperate with health department staff, local authorities, and the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee (VHSNC) to ensure community engagement and support.
- Patient Monitoring and Education:
- Track the progress of patients,



especially those with chronic conditions or requiring follow-up care, to ensure continuity of treatment.
- Provide individualized counselling on medication adherence, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention to patients and their families.
- Team Development:
- Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge essential for MMU operations.

Qualifications and Skills
- Certified and qualified MBBS professional, registered with the Indian Medical Council.
