PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Manufacturing Engineer with extensive experience in transformer manufacturing processes, quality systems, current product introduction, and process optimization. Skilled in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, GD&T; interpretation, process validation, supplier quality management, and transformer testing. Proven ability to drive Right First Time (RFT), reduce defects, improve process capability, and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE,



and ISO standards while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Thorough understanding of transformer manufacturing processes, including core assembly, winding, insulation, tank fabrication, drying, oil filling, and final testing.
Knowledge of transformer quality requirements and compliance with applicable industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, IS, EN, and customer-specific specifications.
Experience in implementing APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation activities for transformer components and assemblies.
Ability to review and approve manufacturing process qualifications, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), PPAP documentation, and product validation records.
Familiarity with transformer routine, type, and special tests, including insulation resistance, turns ratio, winding resistance, impedance, temperature rise, and dielectric testing.
