Role Description The UK, Germany Payroll Subject Matter Expert is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processes for employees based in the UK and Germany. In this role, the specialist will validate payroll inputs, ensure accurate and timely payroll runs, and manage statutory deductions and garnishments in line with local legislation.



The role includes monitoring payroll tax compliance, coordinating with internal teams and external providers, and resolving complex payroll queries. The specialist will maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and German payroll regulations, support process improvements, and provide guidance on best practices to stakeholders. Regular tasks also include preparing audit-ready documentation, reviewing system outputs, and contributing to the enhancement of payroll services and controls.
Qualifications
Strong skills in payroll administration and payroll processing for multi-country environments, particularly the UK and Germany.
Experience with payroll taxes and payroll services, including statutory reporting, social security, and regulatory compliance.
Knowledge of garnishments and other mandated deductions, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legal requirements.
