Backend Engineer

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to:

• drive the strategic design and evolution of backend platforms that enable AI-powered HR solutions at scale — influencing how UBS attracts, develops, and supports its global workforce.

• apply a broad range of modern engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, deployment and observability.

• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements

• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues

• act as a thought partner to senior stakeholders, translating complex challenges into elegant, data-driven solutions.

• share your knowledge openly, contribute to hiring and onboarding, and help shape a cooperative, forward-thinking engineering culture.
