Job Description – Transport Coordinator
Position Summary
The Transport Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring
transportation activities to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective practices. The role involves
coordinating with drivers, transport vendors, internal departments and other stakeholders while
maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with institute policies and applicable
regulations.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation,
Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Fleet Management, or Transportation
Management is an advantage
Required Experience
• 2–5 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, fleet operations, or a related role.
• Experience coordinating drivers, transport vendors, routes, schedules, and vehicle movements.
• Experience in maintaining transportation records, reports, and documentation.
• Experience handling transport-related issues, delays, breakdowns,



and emergency situations.
• Experience with MS Office, transportation management systems, ERP systems is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule when required, including weekends or public holidays depending on operational needs.
Responsibilities & Duties
Coordinate daily transportation activities and ensure vehicles and drivers are available according to operational requirements.
• Plan and schedule vehicle movements, routes, pickups, deliveries, and transportation services.
• Coordinate with drivers, transport vendors, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Monitor vehicle movements and ensure transportation schedules are followed.
• Track delays, cancellations, breakdowns, and other transport-related issues and take corrective action promptly.
• Arrange alternative transportation when vehicles or drivers are unavailable.
• Verify driver and vehicle documentation, including license
