Description
The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for configuring, developing, and continuously improving the ServiceNow platform. The role spans three distinct focus areas to set expectations on day-to-day work, iterative delivery, and larger initiatives:
Operations & Support: Ensuring stability, reliability, and effective support through incident/request handling, maintenance, and documentation.
Enhancements & Continuous Improvement: Delivering incremental improvements, automation, integrations, testing, and uplift of platform quality.
Strategic Initiatives & Platform Evolution: Contributing to larger-scale capabilities and complex solutions in close collaboration with platform leads, platform owners, and business stakeholders to align delivery with platform strategy and organisational priorities.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Technical Skills
- Strong ServiceNow development capability across client and server-side scripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
- Experience delivering workflows, Flow Designer automation, and orchestration




- Strong platform configuration capability (forms, tables, fields, views) and deployment practices
- Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, authentication patterns)
- Working knowledge of testing practices (ATF) and performance considerations
- Solid troubleshooting and operational support experience
- Experience designing and developing within scoped applications using modular, maintainable design principles
- Strong understanding of cross-scope interactions, including access controls, API design (e.g., Script Includes), and dependency management
- Strong understanding of CSDM functions and application in an Enterprise Workplace

Experience
- Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development and configuration
- Experience supporting production platforms and delivering enhancements

Qualifications and Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
