Database Engineer (AWS Aurora PostgreSQL & DynamoDB)

About the Role

We are looking for a Database Engineer with robust experience in PostgreSQL (Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL preferred) and DynamoDB to support a large-scale payroll and financial services platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database design, performance optimization, data modeling, migration activities, and ensuring high availability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable relational and NoSQL database solutions.
- Create logical and physical data models for enterprise applications.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
- Design and manage DynamoDB tables, partition keys, sort keys, and secondary indexes.
- Implement ETL processes and data migration strategies.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure system reliability.
- Develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.




- Collaborate with application and backend teams on database design and performance improvements.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards.
