Job Summary (Application DBA) – List Format
- Administer and support Oracle databases, focusing on physical design, database refreshes, and PL/SQL development.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to create scalable and reliable database solutions.
- Create and manage database objects (tables, indexes, views, packages) and automate deployment tasks using SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
- Monitor database health, processes, and logs; proactively resolve performance, data, and security issues.
- Support all software development lifecycle phases and data governance processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Provide capacity planning, space utilization monitoring, and database refreshes across development, QA, and production environments.
- Maintain and enforce database security, user roles, and privileges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data integrity, security,



and performance.
- Act as the primary contact for all database-related issues, coordinating with managed service providers.
- Mentor and guide development teams in Oracle database management and best practices.
- Utilize Oracle 19c (RAC and Exadata), Oracle Data Pump utilities, and Linux administration for database operations.
- Leverage AI-assisted and automation tools for database performance analysis and operational efficiency.
- Utilize Rally (CA Agile Central) for managing Agile work items and participate in CI/CD practices using Git.
- Maintain solid organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
