- Ensure planned heat production and shift targets are achieved.
- Monitor heat cycle time, tap-to-tap time, blowing time, and delays.
- Ensure proper charging of hot metal, scrap, fluxes, and other materials.
- Monitor BOF blowing parameters such as oxygen flow, pressure, lance height, and blow pattern.
- Ensure proper end-point control based on temperature, carbon, and slag condition.
- Control tapping practices and minimize metal/slag carryover.
- Coordinate with LRF, CCM, SMS operations, and other downstream sections for smooth sequence.
