Senior Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping Specialist – US Accounting

About the Role-
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable & Bookkeeping Specialist with robust hands-on experience in US accounting, bookkeeping, and AP operations. The ideal candidate should have experience managing accounting transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end activities, and bookkeeping support across multiple entities.
Prior experience in construction accounting will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities-
- Perform Accounts Payable data entry and transaction processing.
- Record financial transactions accurately and ensure proper account classification.
- Perform bank reconciliations and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide support for financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, adjustments, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and support journal entries, including intercompany transactions and complex accounting entries.
- Support accounting activities related to property/lot sales and development transactions.
- Perform end-to-end bookkeeping support across operating, holding, development, rental, and investment entities.
- Perform catch-up bookkeeping for designated entities and ensure accounting records are current and accurate.
- Review transactions and supporting documentation to identify missing information, discrepancies, unusual transactions, or accounting inconsistencies.
- Escalate accounting issues and discrepancies to the appropriate stakeholders for review and resolution.
