Role Description The Senior Potato Plant Pathologist will lead diagnostic, research, and management programs focused on diseases affecting potato crops in tissue culture and field environments. This full-time, on-site role in Sitarganj involves designing and conducting pathology experiments, monitoring disease incidence in laboratory and nursery settings, and implementing evidence-based disease prevention and control strategies.



The role includes overseeing laboratory workflows, guiding histological and laboratory medicine analyses, and ensuring strict adherence to quality and biosafety standards. The Senior Potato Plant Pathologist will collaborate with tissue culture teams, agronomists, and clients, prepare technical reports, and provide expert guidance on disease-resistant varieties and best practices for crop health.
Qualifications

Robust foundation in plant Pathology with specific experience in potato diseases and disease management.
Applied Medicine and Laboratory Medicine skills relevant to plant health diagnostics and treatment strategies.
Proficient Laboratory Skills, including handling plant samples, maintaining sterile conditions, and using diagnostic equipment.
Experience in Histology, including tissue preparation, microscopic examination, and interpretation of plant tissue structures.
