We are seeking a skilled and innovative Concept Design Engineer with 2–7 years of experience in automotive engineering and BIW fixture design. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on expertise in developing fixture concepts for Body-in-White (BIW) applications and proficiency in CATIA V5 and UG NX. The role requires a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, fixture design principles, and the ability to convert engineering requirements into practical, manufacturable design concepts.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and production teams to develop robust fixture solutions that meet quality, safety, cost, and manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design BIW fixtures and tooling concepts for automotive body assembly applications.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies,



and 2D drawings using CATIA V5 and UG NX.
- Interpret engineering specifications, product drawings, GD&T; requirements, and vehicle BIW data to develop appropriate fixture concepts.
- Design fixture components such as locating pins, clamps, supports, brackets, bases, grippers, and other tooling elements.
- Develop creative and cost-effective fixture concepts considering manufacturability, accessibility, ergonomics, and assembly requirements.
- Perform design reviews and identify potential issues related to clearance, accessibility, locating schemes, clamping, and part loading/unloading.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BIW engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, and tooling teams.
- Ensure fixture designs comply with applicable customer requirements, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.
