Project Engineer (Electrical) - Job Description

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Manage execution and supervision of electrical infrastructure and substation projects.
- Handle installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HT/LT electrical systems.
- Supervise construction and development of power substations and allied electrical works.
- Ensure project execution as per approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and government norms.
- Coordinate with government departments, consultants, vendors, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor project timelines, manpower deployment, and material utilization.
- Prepare project progress reports, DPRs, billing support, and technical documentation.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with electrical safety regulations.
- Coordinate procurement of electrical materials and equipment required at project sites.
- Handle site inspections, technical troubleshooting,



and execution challenges.
- Support tender-related technical documentation and project planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with DISCOM, PWD, CPWD, and other government electrical standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical infrastructure or government electrical projects.
- Mandatory experience in construction and execution of power substations.
- Strong knowledge of HT/LT panels, transformers, switchgear, cabling, earthing, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of government electrical works, specifications, and departmental procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project documentation.
- Solid leadership, site management, and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently manage electrical project execution at site.
- Experience in government departments, DISCOM projects, PWD, CPWD, Rai
