You are: The VDI Engineer will work closely with VDI engineers and CAD/Developer leads on engineering-level activities, participating in VDI engineering projects, CAD/Developer Cloud Image Release, hardware lifecycle tasks, global VDI expansion, and Tier 3 Problem Resolution.
The Prospect:
- Serve as VDI focal for CAD Image and Release.
- Manage Windows client images, app packaging, scripting.
- Handle Level 3 escalations.
- Maintain images, patching, and SOPs.
- Support hardware refresh and expansion
- Vendor coordination, proactive monitoring, change/problem management.
- Daily health checks (Citrix & VMware Horizon).
- Perform VDI builds, upgrades, pool validation.
- Manage VMware infra using vCenter Ops Manager.
- Perform migrations, rebuilds, recoveries.
- Troubleshoot incidents and ensure closure.
What are we Looking for:
- Experience with Citrix suite (XenDesktop, XenApp, PVS, Director, StoreFront).
- Experience in VMware ESX, Horizon, AppVolume, MS Azure
- Knowledge with Windows OS expertise.
- SCCM, AD, GPO.
- Scripting knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Handle all Tier 3 escalations with deep-dive root cause analysis.
- Create permanent fixes and knowledgebase articles.
- Support infra upgrades, patching, and service recovery.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across Citrix, VMware, OS, and network layers.
- Assist with automation, monitoring tuning, and infra reliability.
