The Rohru Centre is a residential and rehabilitation facility that provides educational, developmental, and life-skills support to children and adults with disabilities in a secure and inclusive environment.
Position Summary
The Helper is responsible for providing direct support to children and adults with disabilities in their daily living activities, residential care, mobility, personal hygiene, recreational participation, and educational routines.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort, well-being, and independence of residents.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support and Care
- Assist residents in daily living activities as required.
- Support students in maintaining personal hygiene, grooming, and cleanliness.
- Assist during meal times and ensure students receive appropriate support when eating.
- Provide guidance and assistance in dressing, organizing personal belongings, and maintaining personal spaces.
- Encourage independence while providing necessary support based on individual needs.
Mobility and Accessibility Support
- Assist students in moving safely within the residential campus.
- Accompany students to classrooms, activity rooms, dining areas, therapy sessions, and outdoor activities.
- Support secure participation in educational, recreational, and community-based activities.
