Job Title:PEB Fabrication QC Checker

Department:Quality Control / Fabrication

Reports To: QC Engineer / Production Manager

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Inspect fabricated PEB structural components such as columns, rafters, beams, bracings, base plates, purlins, and other steel members.

Verify dimensions, alignment, hole locations, cutting accuracy, fit-up, and assembly as per approved fabrication drawings.

Conduct stage-wise inspections during fabrication, welding, grinding, and finishing activities.

Check welding quality visually and ensure welds comply with WPS, project specifications, and quality standards.

Coordinate with welding inspectors, production teams, and fabrication supervisors to resolve quality issues.

Ensure raw materials and fabricated items meet approved specifications and standards.

Monitor surface preparation, painting, and coating quality when required.

Identify non-conformities and report defects or deviations to the QC Engineer or Production Manager.

Maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and daily QC documentation.





Ensure fabrication activities comply with project quality plans, safety standards, and client requirements.

Assist during client inspections and third-party inspections.

Verify marking, tagging, and traceability of fabricated components.

Support continuous improvement in fabrication quality and productivity.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Mechanical, Welding, Fabrication, or related field.

Additional QC or welding inspection certifications will be an advantage.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in PEB fabrication, structural steel fabrication, or related industrial fabrication projects.

Experience in fabrication quality inspection and welding inspection preferred.

Required Skills:
Solid knowledge of PEB structural components and fabrication processes.

Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and GA drawings.
