A Hair Trainer at Lakmé Academy is responsible for both teaching students and maintaining professional salon standards. The role blends technical expertise, mentoring, and operational support. Here’s a clear breakdown:
1. Training & Teaching
- Deliver structured hair courses (basic to advanced)
- Teach hair cutting, coloring, styling, chemical treatments (rebonding, smoothening, keratin, etc.)
- Demonstrate practical techniques on models/mannequins
- Guide students during hands-on practice
- Prepare lesson plans and training schedules

2. Student Development
- Assess student performance (theory + practical)
- Provide feedback and improve skills
- Mentor students for confidence and professionalism
- Prepare students for exams, certifications, and placements

3. Curriculum & Standards
- Follow Lakmé Academy curriculum and training guidelines
- Keep updated with latest hair trends, techniques, and products
- Maintain hygiene, safety, and skilled standards in training

4. Inventory & Tools Management




- Manage hair products, tools, and equipment
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of kits

5. Administrative Work
- Maintain attendance and student records
- Conduct tests, assignments, and evaluations
- Support in admissions counseling (sometimes)

6. Events & Promotions
- Participate in workshops, seminars, demos, and shows
- Represent the academy in promotional activities
