Area In-Charge - SPD 1 Electrical (Mill Section)

Role Purpose
- The Area In-Charge - SPD 1 Electrical (Mill Section) is responsible for ensuring reliable electrical maintenance, breakdown reduction, and continuous improvement of rolling mill equipment through effective preventive maintenance, automation expertise, and compliance with safety and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of rolling mill electrical systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring production targets are met.- Handle breakdown analysis and troubleshooting of electrical systems in the mill section with a focus on reducing MTTR and improving MTBF.- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical equipment, drives, motors, and automation systems.- Work extensively on SIEMENS & ABB drives and PLC systems,



including fault diagnostics and logic understanding.- Maintain and troubleshoot AC & DC motors, panels, MCCs, and related auxiliaries.- Monitor and improve equipment reliability using data-driven maintenance practices.- Ensure ISO compliance, proper documentation, SOP adherence, and audit readiness.- Utilize SAP (basic level) for maintenance planning, breakdown reporting, and spare management.- Coordinate with mechanical, production, and automation teams for root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.- Ensure adherence to safety standards, electrical statutory norms, and good housekeeping practices (5S).

Mandatory Technical Skills & ExperienceMust have Rolling Mill electrical maintenance experience (Cold Rolling / Stainless Processing preferred).Expertise in SIEMENS and ABB Drives & PLC systems (mandatory).Hands-on experience with AC & DC motors, drives, and control systems.- Robust knowledge of MTTR / MTBF concepts and reliability improvement techniques.Basic SAP
