1. Guest Service & Experience
- Welcome and seat guests in their assigned section
- Present menus and explain specials, promotions, and dishes
- Take accurate food & beverage orders
- Ensure timely service of food and drinks
- Handle guest complaints politely and resolve issues on the spot
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and courtesy
- Build rapport with regular guests

2. Team Supervision
- Supervise waiters, bussers, and food runners in their section
- Allocate tables and duties to team members
- Train current service staff on SOPs and service standards
- Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and performance
- Motivate staff to deliver consistent service quality

3. Order & Service Coordination
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for smooth order flow
- Check food presentation and quality before serving
- Ensure correct dishes are served to the correct table
- Manage course timing (starters, mains, desserts)
- Handle special requests and dietary requirements

4. Sales & Upselling
- Promote specials, add-ons, desserts, and premium beverages




- Increase average bill value through suggestive selling
- Inform guests about loyalty programs or offers
- Maximize table turnover without rushing guests

5. Billing & Cash Handling
- Prepare and present bills accurately
- Handle payments (cash, card, UPI, room charge)
- Ensure proper posting in POS system
- Follow cash-handling and billing procedures

6. Hygiene, Safety & SOP Compliance
- Ensure tables, chairs, cutlery, and glassware are clean
- Enforce food safety and hygiene standards
- Follow FSSAI and hotel SOPs
- Ensure safety procedures during service

7. Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor linen, crockery, cutlery, and glassware usage
- Report breakages or shortages
- Raise indents for service supplies
- Ensure service stations are well-stocked

8. Reporting & Coordination
- Report daily service issues to the Restaurant Manager
- Share guest feedback with management
- Maintain service logbook
- Coordinate with housekee
