Job Description — Dispatch Supervisor (Garment Industry)

Key Responsibilities1. Dispatch Operations
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch activities.
- Ensure timely shipment of finished garments as per dispatch schedule.
- Coordinate with production, merchandising, and warehouse teams.

2. Order & Quantity Verification
- Verify style, size ratio, color, and quantities before dispatch.
- Ensure dispatch is aligned with Purchase Order (PO) and invoice details.
- Avoid short or excess shipments.

3. Packing Supervision
- Supervise folding, tagging, labeling, and carton packing.
- Ensure buyer packing standards are followed.
- Monitor packing quality and team productivity.

4. Documentation
- Prepare and verify:
- Delivery Challan
- Invoice
- Packing List
- E-way Bill
- Transport documents (LR copy)
- Maintain dispatch records in ERP/Excel.

5. Inventory Control
- Update finished goods stock records.
- Ensure physical stock matches system inventory.
- Track pending and completed dispatch orders.

6. Logistics Coordination
- Arrange transport vehicles/couriers.




- Coordinate with transporters for timely pickup and delivery.
- Track shipments and collect Proof of Delivery (POD).

7. Team Management
- Supervise packing staff, helpers, and loaders.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Maintain discipline and efficiency in dispatch area.

8. Quality & Compliance
- Conduct final inspection before shipment.
- Ensure proper carton handling and warehouse safety.
- Follow company and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate / Diploma (preferred)
- Experience in garment or têxtile industry preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in dispatch/warehouse operations.
- Experience in garment manufacturing/export house preferred.

Required Skills:
- Knowledge of garment packing & dispatch processes
- Basic GST & E-way bill knowledge
- ERP / Excel proficiency
- Robust coordination & organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage
