Key Responsibilities1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for transformer manufacturing machines such as:
- Winding machines
- Core cutting machines
- Vapour-phase drying ovens
- Hydraulic presses
- Oil filtration and purification plants
- Testing equipment (e.g., BDV tester, Tan-Delta, SFRA)
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, motors, pumps, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.

2. Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace defective components (bearings, motors, sensors, contactors, valves, etc.).

3. Equipment Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation and commissioning of recent machinery or test equipment.
- Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and vendors during setup or upgrades.

4. Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all machines meet statutory safety standards (electrical safety, earthing, insulation, etc.).




- Implement safety procedures like LOTO, PPE enforcement, and risk assessments.
- Support quality assurance teams during equipment-related audits (ISO, NABL, customer audits).

5. Spare Parts & Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain stock of essential spare parts, consumables, and tools.
- Coordinate procurement with the purchase team to avoid shortages.

6. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Reduce maintenance costs through optimization, root cause analysis (RCA), and condition monitoring.

7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain machine history cards, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports (downtime, cost, efficiency).
