Position: Senior Executive - Store & Purchase

Reporting To: SCM Head

Job Purpose

To independently manage store operations and purchase activities, ensuring uninterrupted material availability, effective inventory control, cost optimization, and smooth coordination with vendors, production, quality, and accounts teams.

Key Responsibilities

Store Management
- Overall responsibility for raw materials, consumables, spares, tools, and finished goods.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, identification, preservation, and issue of materials.
- Maintain FIFO / FEFO practices and control slow-moving & obsolete inventory.
- Conduct daily stock monitoring and monthly / annual physical stock audits.
- Maintain and verify GRN, Issue Slips, Bin Cards, Stock Registers, and ERP entries.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and 5S in store areas.
- Coordinate with production and quality for material planning and shortages.

Purchase & Procurement




- Plan and execute purchase of raw materials, consumables, spares, and services.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage approved vendors.
- Prepare and release Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
- Negotiate price, delivery schedules, credit terms, and service conditions.
- Ensure purchased materials meet quality and technical specifications.
- Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with accounts for bill verification, GRN matching, and payments.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and vendor performance review.

Skills & Competencies
- Robust knowledge of store operations & procurement processes
- Hands-on experience in ERP / SAP / Tally / Excel
- Good negotiation, planning, and vendor coordination skills
- Knowledge of GST, inventory control, and documentation
- Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
