The Role: Lead I, Software Development/Engineering

We are seeking an experienced technical lead with 8+ years in software engineering to architect and build complex, scalable applications. In this role, you will lead technical development, drive best practices, and tackle complex problem-solving scenarios. You will leverage Python, PostgreSQL, cloud-native technologies, and GenAI tooling to accelerate delivery and foster a culture of excellence.

As a member of the EDO, Collection Platforms & AI - Foundational Data & Linking team, you will be at the heart of our data-driven strategy. You will build and maintain enterprise-scale data processing pipelines that power our critical data sourcing, information retrieval, and machine learning solutions. In our cloud-native ecosystem, you will have the opportunity to design resilient, production-ready systems and grow your skills in a highly collaborative, global setting that encourages innovation and ownership.

Responsibilities and Impact:




• Software Development & Architecture: Architect, design, and develop scalable cloud-based data applications and robust pipelines within a cross-functional Agile team.
• AI & Innovation: Spearhead traditional AI and GenAI initiatives. Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot to improve development speed, code quality, and time-to-market.
• Complex Problem Solving: Manage and optimize existing solutions. Solve highly complex architectural problems by weighing costs, benefits, and long-term scalability.
• Operations & Reliability: Troubleshoot and debug complex code and cloud infrastructure issues to guarantee system reliability and high availability.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Provide hands-on guidance, conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and closely collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through excellent documentation and clear communication.
