nNuzzy is a pet-care technology company developing software, AI capabilities, and a mobile application for pet parents and pet-care businesses. We are solving a major problem in pet care industries through technology, accountability, and artificial intelligence.

nWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer to join Nuzzy’s founding team and take meaningful ownership of our backend systems.
nYou will work closely with the Founder and Engineering Lead, taking backend work from technical design through production. The role combines product thinking, practical engineering judgement, and the ability to build reliable systems without unnecessary complexity.

nWhat You’ll Do

- Design, build, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models.n




- Own backend features from technical design and implementation through deployment and production support.n
- Integrate AI models, AI services, and external systems with appropriate validation, monitoring, and failure handling.n
- Translate product requirements into focused, testable releases and make practical technical trade-offs.n
- Maintain data integrity, application security, and backend performance as the product evolves.n
- Investigate production problems, resolve root causes, and make focused reliability improvements.n
- Write maintainable code, review changes, document important decisions, and establish simple engineering standards.n

nWhat We’re Looking For

- 4–6 years of professional experience building and operating production backend systems.n
- Strong proficiency in at least one up-to-date backend language and framework.n
- Solid experience with API design, data modelling, databases, query performance, and secure schema migrations.n
