Key Requirements & Skillset
Subject Expertise: Strong foundation in Middle School Mathematics (Grades 5–8), including Pre-Algebra, Linear Functions, Proportional Relationships, Geometry/Transformations, Rational Numbers, and Statistics.
Curriculum Standards: Deep proficiency in US Common Core and Arizona State Standards.
Pedagogical Approach: Ability to structure lessons progressively (Concrete ➔ Visual ➔ Abstract) using diagnostic checks and exit tickets.
US Context Readiness:
Experience solving US word-problem sets (combining customary and metric units) and explaining math concepts in clear, parent-friendly language.
Communication & Availability: Fluent in English with strong delivery skills; available during US time zones (evening/night slots local time).
Advanced Tracks (Bonus): Prep experience for math competitions (AMC 8/10, Math Kangaroo) and early Algebra 1 concepts (quadratics, Digital SAT preview).
Qualifications
