Job Title: Fivetran Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Fivetran Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage cloud-based data integration pipelines using Fivetran . The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources into cloud data warehouses, and supporting up-to-date data platforms. The role requires collaboration with Data Engineers, Analytics teams, and Business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data for reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain ELT data pipelines using Fivetran.
- Configure and manage Fivetran connectors to ingest data from SaaS applications, databases, APIs, and file systems.
- Integrate data into cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop SQL-based data transformation pipelines using dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
- Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and optimize data loads for performance and reliability.
- Ensure data quality, validation, governance, and security across the data platform.
- Work closely with business users, data analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements.
- Automate pipeline deployment and monitoring using CI/CD best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and data flow diagrams.
- Support production issues and perform root cause analysis for data integration problems.





Required Skills

- 2–4 years of IT experience with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience using Fivetran.
- Strong experience with:
- Fivetran
- SQL
- Data Warehousing concepts
- ELT/ETL methodologies
- Experience with one or more cloud data warehouses:
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Google BigQuery
- Amazon Redshift
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
- Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Experience working with APIs, JSON, CSV, XML, and other structured data formats.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
