Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership

- Lead the design and development of glazing systems including curtain walls, structural glazing, windows, skylights, and façade elements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and draftsmen.
- Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and design calculations.

Engineering & Technical Design

- Perform structural and thermal analysis of glazing systems.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (ASTM, BS, IS codes, project specs).
- Optimize façade systems for performance, cost, and constructability.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, and execution teams.
- Participate in design discussions, technical meetings, and client presentations.
- Ensure alignment between design, production, and installation teams.

Shop Drawings & Documentation

- Oversee preparation of detailed shop drawings, BOQs, and fabrication details.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of design documentation.
- Manage revision control and approval processes.

Material & System Selection

- Evaluate and select suitable materials such as glass types, aluminium systems, sealants, and hardware.




- Ensure compatibility of materials with design and environmental requirements.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality teams during inspections and audits.
- Address technical issues related to façade performance (water leakage, thermal issues, etc.).

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Introduce recent glazing technologies, materials, and design methodologies.
- Improve design efficiency and standardization across projects.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering / Architecture or related field
- 8–15 years of experience in façade/glazing design, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in glazing systems (curtain wall, unitized systems, structural glazing)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and façade design software
- Knowledge of structural calculations and façade performance engineering
- Understanding of international design standards (ASTM, BS, EN, IS)
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
