Job Description:

The Regional Sales Manager – Trade & Forex is responsible for driving Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange business across an assigned region. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, increasing wallet share of existing clients, achieving revenue targets, and supporting Relationship Managers/branches with Trade & Forex solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive Trade Finance & Forex sales across mapped branches, regions, and customer segments.
- Achieve assigned business, revenue, profitability and customer acquisition targets.
- Acquire and develop Exporters, Importers, SMEs, Corporates and other forex-intensive clients.
- Drive products such as:
- Import & Export Finance
- Letter of Credit (LC)
- Bank Guarantee (BG)
- Export/Import Collections
- Buyer’s Credit / Trade Credit
- Foreign Inward & Outward Remittances
- Forex / Currency Buying & Selling
- Forward Contracts & Hedging
- FDI / ODI / ECB
- EEFC Accounts

- Identify Trade & Forex opportunities within existing branch portfolios and generate Recent-to-Bank (NTB) business.




- Conduct joint customer meetings with Branch RMs and Corporate/SME RMs for product pitching, solution structuring and relationship deepening.
- Monitor customer trade flows, forex turnover, revenue and wallet share and identify cross-sell opportunities.
- Coordinate with Treasury/Forex Desk, Trade Operations, Credit, Compliance and Branch teams for smooth transaction execution.
- Guide and train branch teams/RMs on Trade Finance & Forex products, processes, documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure transactions and customer dealings comply with RBI, FEMA, FEDAI, AML/KYC and internal bank policies.
- Monitor EDPMS/IDPMS-related requirements, documentation and regulatory outstanding items.
- Track competitor activity, market trends and pricing to develop effective regional sales strategies.
- Build relationships with exporters, importers, manufacturers, traders, channel partners and business associations.
- Prepare regular MIS and performance reports covering Trade & Forex volumes, revenue, pipeline and branch productivity.
