Professionals joining PPC will have the opportunity to work on complex and large-scale transportation infrastructure projects , including bridges, ROBs/RUBs, flyovers, and elevated road corridors, while working closely with experienced design engineers and project teams.

Role Description
n
PPC is looking for an experienced Draftsman – Elevated Roads & Bridges for its Gurugram office , with a hybrid working arrangement.
n
The position is specifically intended for candidates with hands-on experience in bridge, ROB/RUB, flyover, and elevated road projects . The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and technically detailed General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), structural drawings, reinforcement drawings, and construction drawings based on engineering design inputs.

The role requires a draftsman who can independently understand structural design inputs and convert them into precise drawings.

Important
n
This is a specialized position for Bridge/ROB/Elevated Road drafting. Candidates whose experience is primarily in buildings, architecture, interiors, or general civil drafting will not be considered.
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Prepare GADs and detailed drawings for:
n
- Railway Over Bridges (ROBs)
n
- Railway Under Bridges (RUBs)
n
- Flyovers
n
- Elevated roads and corridors
n
- Road bridges and other transportation structures
n
- Prepare plans, elevations, sections, typical details, structural component details, and reinforcement drawings.
n
- Prepare detailed drawings for both substructure and superstructure components , including foundations, piers, pier caps, abutments, bearings, decks, girders, retaining structures, etc., as applicable to the project.
n
- Interpret structural design calculations and engineering inputs and convert them into accurate working drawings.
n
- Incorporate survey information, including DGPS, Total Station and LiDAR dat a, into project drawings and GADs where required.
n
- Prepare drawings at both tender stage and Good for Construction (GFC) stage .
n
- Revise drawings based on comments from design engineers, clients, authorities, and site teams.
n
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable IRC codes, MoRTH specifications, RDSO requirements, project specifications, and approved design standards .
n
- Coordinate with structural/design engineers, transportation engineers, survey teams, project managers, consultants, and site personnel.
n
- Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, documentation, and organized digital drawing records.
n
- Support preparation of quantity take-offs, as-built drawings, and other project documentation wherever required.
n
- Manage multiple drawing assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting project deadlines.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering/Drafting with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR
n
- B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience.
n
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in bridge, ROB/RUB, flyover, or elevated road drafting .
n
- Proven experience in independently preparing GADs for ROBs, RUBs, bridges, flyovers, or elevated roads .
n
- Experience in railway-related bridge projects is mandatory ; familiarity with RDSO standards and drawings is strongly preferred .
n
- Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed drawings for both bridge superstructure and substructure .
n
- Candidates must be capable of working from engineering/design inputs with minimal supervision .
n

n
Technical Skills & Screening Criteria ( Essential)
n
n
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D .
n
- Strong understanding of bridge and elevated-road drawings, including:
n
- GADs
n
- Plan, elevation and sectional drawings
n
- Reinforcement detailing
n
- Foundation and substructure details
n
- Superstructure and girder details
n
- Pier and pier-cap details
n
- Abutment details
n
- Bearing and expansion-joint details
n
- Working knowledge of RDSO drawings, standards, and standard practices , particularly for railway bridge/ROB projects.
n
- Working familiarity with relevant IRC Codes and MoRTH Specifications .
n
- Ability to read and interpret structural design drawings, design calculations, sketches, and engineering inputs .
n
- Ability to independently convert design inputs into accurate and constructible drawings.
n
- Familiarity with incorporating survey data (DGPS/Total Station/LiDAR) into engineering drawings.

- Maintain high standards of accuracy, detailing, dimensioning, notation, and drawing presentation .

- Contribute to improving drafting standards, workflows, and drawing quality within the organization.

Applications that do not demonstrate relevant Bridge/ROB/Elevated Road experience or are submitted without drawing samples may be rejected at the initial screening stage.
