Overview
The AI Senior Research Manager, Asia/Pacific, is responsible for achieving the program's financial, business development, and research objectives against assigned targets.
The Senior Research Manager provides thought leadership to the market on significant industry trends and coordinates Asia/Pacific research with work delivered in other regions. They serve as IDC Asia/Pacific Insights' primary research leader across AI, generative AI, and agentic AI strategies, data science, cloud, advanced analytics, machine learning, and data engineering.

What You'll Do
Consulting & Research Management
Leading the definition, creation, and production of IDC market intelligence products and solutions for the countries or domains under your responsibility.
Ensuring IDC's market intelligence meets the needs of existing clients and identifying new opportunities for our capabilities.
Maintaining research project planning, scheduling, and tracking.




Acting as the external and internal representative of IDC research for your domain.
Ensuring the organization produces quality research and analysis by rolling out new and insightful analytical programs, supplemented with thought leadership.
Ensuring program profitability and running cost/benefit analysis on custom research projects.
Thought leadership and creation of special reports.
Custom Research
Leading AI, data, and analytics consulting and custom research projects.
Identifying opportunities, assisting in developing proposals, and helping close consulting sales.
Vetting research methodologies and instruments.
Creation and delivery of special reports.
Business Development and Client Management
Developing senior executive relationships with clients and key players in the industry.
Presenting results at a senior level, or at events, as required.
Providing strong support for the sales team in qu
