osition: Primary Science Facilitator
Department: Academics
Job Purpose
To facilitate engaging and inquiry-based science learning for primary school students in alignment with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum. The facilitator will nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific understanding through hands-on learning experiences and student-centered teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver science lessons in accordance with the Cambridge Primary Science curriculum.
Create a stimulating and inquiry-based learning workplace that encourages exploration and experimentation.
Use hands-on activities, investigations, projects, and real-world connections to enhance learning.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary learning experiences and school initiatives.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and career development programs.
Ensure classroom and laboratory safety during practical activities.
Promote scientific thinking, problem-solving, and environmental awareness among students.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or a related field.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
Certification or training in Cambridge curriculum is an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Primary Science.
Experience in a Cambridge, IB, or international school setting is preferred.
