To provide technical and commercial control over design proposals by ensuring technical feasibility, correct specifications, accurate costing and internal project budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
Review designs and drawings for technical feasibility and execution practicality.
Finalise materials, specifications, construction methods, hardware and technical details.
Identify design-related technical risks, clashes and execution challenges before site execution.
Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs and detailed project estimates from drawings.
Establish and maintain internal material, labour, installation and work rates.
Prepare internal project budgets and cost sheets based on approved designs and specifications.
Benchmark and finalise internal rates and standard costing norms.
Suggest technically suitable and cost-effective alternatives without compromising design intent.
Develop and maintain standard specifications, assemblies and costing benchmarks for the company.
Review design revisions and assess their cost and execution impact.
Coordinate closely with Design, Estimation,
Procurement and Operations teams.
Support Project Managers and Designers with technical clarifications during execution.
Identify potential cost overruns, wastage and scope gaps at the design stage.
Ideal Candidate
5–8 years of experience in interior execution, technical design coordination, estimation or construction.
Solid knowledge of interior materials, construction methods, detailing and specifications.
Excellent understanding of BOQs, quantity take-offs, costing and rate analysis.
Ability to read and interpret working drawings and detailed design drawings.
Solid Excel and estimation/costing skills.
Robust technical judgement with a commercial mindset.
Detail-oriented, analytical and capable of challenging designs constructively.
