A histopathology lab technician prepares and processes human or animal tissue samples so pathologists can examine them under a microscope to diagnose diseases.
Key Responsibilities
Tissue Processing: Receive, fix, and embed tissue samples in paraffin wax.
Microtomy: Cut ultra-thin slices of tissue using a microtome.
Staining: Mount tissue slices onto slides and perform Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E;) or special staining to highlight cellular abnormalities.
Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and troubleshoot delicate lab instruments.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs, data entries, and quality control documentation
Pay: ₹12,331.04 - ₹30,106.27 per month
