The Waiter Trainee assists the service team in providing excellent guest service while learning restaurant operations, food service standards, and customer handling procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
Greet guests politely and assist them with seating.
Present menus and explain menu items when required.
Take food and beverage orders accurately.
Serve food and beverages according to restaurant standards.
Ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Restaurant Operations
Prepare tables before service.
Transparent and clean tables after guests leave.
Refill water glasses and assist guests during meals.
Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas.
Assist senior waiters and captains during busy hours.
Learning & Development
Learn menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Learn restaurant SOPs and service standards.
Understand billing and POS system operations.
Participate in training sessions and briefings.
Learn upselling techniques and customer service skills.
Hygiene & Safety
Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Handle restaurant equipment carefully.
Report any safety concerns immediately.
Requirements
Minimum 10th/12th pass (Hotel Management students preferred).
Positive communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in shifts.
Physically fit to stand and move for extended periods.
