Accountant – Logistics

Job Location: Vasai

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, financial records, billing, and documentation for our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities - Maintain day-to-day accounting entries and financial records. - Handle sales and purchase invoices, billing, and payment entries. - Manage accounts receivable and payable and follow up on outstanding payments. - Record expenses, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions. - Prepare and maintain ledger accounts, cash book, and bank book. - Perform bank reconciliation and verify financial transactions. - Handle GST-related accounting and documentation. - Assist in preparation of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements. - Maintain proper records of logistics expenses, vendor payments, transportation bills, and operational expenses. - Verify bills, vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents. - Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding billing and payment-related queries.



- Assist in monthly closing and preparation of basic financial reports. - Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records. - Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent. - 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.

Experience in logistics/transportation industry will be an advantage. - Good knowledge of Tally / accounting software and MS Excel. - Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and taxation.

Valuable understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping. - Robust attention to detail and accuracy. - Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate - Candidates who can independently handle day-to-day accounting work. Prior experience in a logistics, transport, freight forwarding, or supply-chain company will be preferred. - Should be organized, responsible, and comfortable working with financial documents and deadlines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
