Perform CT and MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
Administer contrast media as necessary and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain CT and MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
Follow proper radiation safety and MRI safety protocols.
Evaluate images for quality and report findings to radiologists or supervising physicians.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation in the imaging system and/or EMR.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to alleviate anxiety.
Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnostics.
Maintain inventory and cleanliness of imaging rooms and workspaces.
Adhere to all hospital and department policies, including infection control and patient confidentiality standards.
